Gold Star Award for Excellence In Theatre

The Gold Star Award for Excellence in Musical Theater is presented by the PHS Musical Boosters. Awarded annually, this award is presented to two to four graduating seniors in recognition of their outstanding theater contributions, exemplary leadership, and continual dedication to musical theater. Students who participate in the Spring Musical production as a cast, pit orchestra, or stage crew member are eligible for this award. Members of the production team provide recommendations to the awards committee, and two deserving seniors are selected.

The Gold Star Award for Dramatic Excellence is presented to two graduates who have distinguished themselves in the field of dramatic arts and demonstrate an outstanding commitment to leveraging the power of theater as a collaborative art. Their individual and extraordinary contributions to Palmyra Theatre span both on and off the stage in creative ways that will shape and inspire the organization for many years to come.

2023 RECIPIENTS:

  • Gold Star Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre: Weston Buchkovich, Kathryn Kyper, Karlee Marroncelli, and Jack Wolfe.

  • Gold Star Award for Dramatic Excellence: Quentin Ricker and David Taylor.

2022 RECIPIENTS:

  • Gold Star Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre: Madison Boltz, Hannah Gorrell, Jacob Wagers, Madeline Manning

  • Gold Star Award for Dramatic Excellence: Grace Duong and Jordan Sandoval.
