Members of the International Thespian Society have 100+ hours of service to Palmyra Theatre and participate in annual service projects and events. Students move through honors ranks by collecting thespian points through performances, service, leadership, and theatre arts-related activities.
Our next induction will be in Wed., April 24, 2026. Eligible students will receive their invitations this spring.
LAST CALL! BIG STAR/LITTLE STAR SIGN UPS!
The Big Star/Little Star program is our mentor program for all new high school theater students. Students with at least one year of experience in the program are eligible to be Big Stars. Keep in mind that we try to pair students with people they may not know as well as an extra resource for them. All new students to our program, please complete the little star form.
FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE PLAY CONTEST 2026
The 2026 Freshman/Sophomore Play Contest, held Friday, April 24 at 7 p.m., is a low-stress, well-organized evening of student theatre that pairs junior and senior directors with freshman and sophomore actors in a friendly, public competition.
Up to six directing teams will present short plays (5–10 minutes) focused on strong acting, clear characterization, and thoughtful directing rather than elaborate sets or costumes.
A panel of theatrical experts will adjudicate performances, with awards recognizing acting excellence, directing, and a special Crowd Favorite chosen by the audience.
